Mediterranean Harbors

In the framework of the project new educational programmes were developed.

Educational programme: “Miletus”
Its objective is the demonstration of the socio-economic conditions in Asia Minor and in the wider area of the Mediterranean during the Roman Period. It is addressed to school groups from the 5th Grade of Elementary School to the 2nd Grade of High School and lasts for an hour and a half. It is accompanied by a Virtual Reality programme “A Journey to Ancient Miletus, with a duration of 15-20 minutes.

Educational programme: “Syracuse”
Its objective is to utilize the process of the game in order to promote the understanding of the inventions of Archimedes. It is addressed to school groups from the 4th Grade of Elementary School to the 2nd Grade of High School and lasts for 15 minutes. The basic characteristic is the interactive Virtual Reality game “The battle of Syracuse” at the “Virtual Cinema”. The educational programme “Syracuse” is available at the following locations:

Educational programme: “Playing with ancient Miletus”
Its objective is to utilize the process of the game in order to promote the understanding of the cultural, political and social situation in ancient Miletus. It is addressed to school groups from the 5th Grade of Elementary School to the 2nd Grade of High School and lasts for an hour and a half. Its basic characteristics are conventional and electronic knowledge games, while it is accompanied by the Virtual Reality programme “A Journey to Ancient Miletus, with a duration of 15-20 minutes.
